Tallinn 2024
We will once again be attending the industry events at Tallinn this year.
Again we are partnering up with the “Script Pool” Programme, that is highlighting five international projects and the team behind them – director, scriptwriter, and producer.
Black Nights and Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event
As partner of the “Scrip Pool” Programme the International Screen Institute is hosting several formats that support five selected international film teams to pitch their projects and increase their sales and distribution potential.
Our Audience Design expert Benjamin Coelle is hosting a keynote on:
“Audience Design”
The workshop encourages filmmakers to develop an Audience Design strategy at the earlier stages of the filmmaking process. It gives them a greater understanding of how to engage that audience with the correct messaging for grassroots marketing across the various social platforms, find and build communities and look at alternative and educational opportunities.
Our Course Director Julia Short is hosting three open sessions on:
“What does a sales company do and why you might want one?”
The session will break down a sales company’s role and tasks starting from business models and share further top tips on how to determine the right sales company for the project.
“What does a distributor do?”
The distribution world is very complex, and it is hard to discern what services a film and documentary distributor actually provides or should provide. The session will deliver best practices for making deals and working with sales agents and distributors.
“Design your festival strategy”
The strategy for your film may be to launch at a festival, but which is the right festival or the right strand? Do international buyers attend? Will your film get reviewed? The session will help participants design their film festival strategy.
Speakers:
