The Austrian Film Institute

The Austrian Film Institute (Österreichisches Filminstitut / ÖFI) is a legal entity under public law and the lead body for federal film funding for cinema productions at all stages, from development to production and distribution. It combines selective and automatic support systems with the primary focus on strengthening the Austrian film industry in general and especially the creative and artistic qualities of Austrian film to ensure its domestic and international success. Additionally, the ÖFI also supports various measures to train and connect people from the industry.
