Stephanie Meisl

Stephanie Meisl is a media artist and a pioneer between generative AI, art, and the creative industries. She is co-founder of the art collective – D#AVANTGARDE – new technology, art and creativity. In 2021, she was awarded the Salzburg Media Art Prize.  Since 2022, she has led the AI Lab at the Schmiede media art festival. In 2023, she was recognized for her expertise in AI with the Content Vienna Digital Literacy Award, and since 2024 she is serving as Vice Chair of the Creative Industry Council of the BMWET (Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism). Her work focuses on generative AI in film production. She curates and organizes AI film festivals, runs AI hackathons, and is internationally booked for workshops, panel discussions, and talks.
