Film Fund Luxembourg

Film Fund Luxembourg

Film Fund Luxembourg was established in 1990 to promote and foster an environment in which the country’s film production industry can develop and flourish. It is Luxembourg’s public fund for supporting audiovisual productions and implementing the Luxembourg government’s policies for the audiovisual industry. The Fund provides support for scriptwriting, development, and production of audiovisual works of any genre, type, or format, including XR, for Luxembourg-majority and Luxembourg-minority co-productions through a single selective funding mechanism called “Aide Financière Sélective”. In addition, it organises and implements promotional and other industry events at the national and international levels, including co-production meetings, festival collaborations, market delegations, seminars, and training courses. It cooperates closely with Luxembourg’s audiovisual industry associations and represents Luxembourg in all European and international audiovisual initiatives, like Eurimages, EFAD, and Creative Europe. It also hosts the Luxembourg Creative Europe MEDIA Desk and is party to a number of international co-production treaties and bilateral and multilateral funding initiatives like ESFUF and New Dawn.
