D – Arts, a project office for diversity, questions, highlights, claims, and aims to transform the cultural sector. Through D—Arts, we draw attention to those who are often unseen. The “D” in D—Arts stands for a critical understanding of diversity, for decentralized strategies, and for dialogical approaches.

As a nationwide project office in Austria, we focus on discrimination-sensitive concepts within the cultural sector. With 86 member associations and institutions by our side, we work towards a diverse and equitable cultural landscape. Our goal is to identify current gaps in the sector and to establish a comprehensive centre for conceptual development, curation, and consulting — fostering awareness, driving structural change, and promoting a paradigm shift in cultural practices.
