ProPro Public Event: Co-Producing with Austria & Case Study Die Blutgräfin

16:30 – 18:00 | Room 1+2
Meet our ProPro partners, some of the key door-openers to international co-production in Austria: The Austrian Film Institute, offering essential funding and co-production support; the Vienna Film Commission, your go-to for shooting in one of Europe’s most film-friendly cities; FILM in AUSTRIA (ABA), providing access to locations, incentives, and expert guidance; and WKO, the Austrian Economic Chamber, championing international industry connections.
ProPro 2025 is an initative of the Austrian Film Institute, organised by the International Screen Institute. We are grateful for the continous support of WKW – professional representative association for the film and music industry, ABA-Film in Austria, Film Fonds Wien, Vienna Film Commission, Satel Film, FOCAL, Hessen Film & Medien, Film Fund Luxembourg, Bulgarian National Film Center, Netherlands Film Fonds.
This is followed by an exclusive case study of Die Blutgräfin, a striking new co-production directed by Ulrike Ottinger and co-written with Nobel laureate Elfriede Jelinek. With a cast including Isabelle Huppert, Birgit Minichmayr, Thomas Schubert, and Lars Eidinger, the film blends myth, history, and avant-garde cinema to tell the story of one of Europe’s most infamous female figures.
This session will be presented by producers Bady Minck, Alexander Dumreicher-Ivanceanu, and co-producer and ProPro mentor Bettina Brokemper.
