19:30–20:30: Keynote Talk
20:30: Networking & Drinks
Event language: English | Open to all industry professionals
The programme opens with the panel “Claiming Space: Who gave you permission to do what you do?”, featuring Ludovica Chiarini and Louise Marie Smith, moderated by Zsófia Szemerédy. While sustainability in film and television is gaining visibility, its real-world practice remains complex. What does a sustainability consultant actually do, and who defines their role? These professionals have built their own paths, showing how courage and creativity can reshape leadership behind the scenes.
Building on this conversation, Nina Mbah’s keynote “Producing Change: How Creative Leadership makes Sustainability work across the Creative and Film industries,” moderated by Djamilla Grandits, expands the discussion from practice to vision. Through her work with African Climate Stories, Nina Mbah explores how storytelling can inspire transformation and how creative production can become a driving force for lasting change. Drawing on experiences across 16 African countries, she demonstrates how sustainability and creativity can intersect to shape both the process and impact of screen production.
After the talks, stay for snacks, drinks, and conversation with our international programme participants, guest speakers, and local professionals!
