Creative Europe MEDIA

Creative Europe is the funding scheme of the European Commission for the European culture, creativity and audiovisual sector and has a budget of 2.5 billion Euros, 59 % of it is reserved for the audiovisual sector, the MEDIA strand. The MEDIA strand of the programme promotes European cooperation to make the European audiovisual industry more competitive on the international market, in line with EU priorities, including the full exploitation of the digital transformation, fostering the greening of the industry and including societal objectives such as gender balance and inclusivity. The MEDIA supporting actions are divided into three thematic clusters: Content: aimed at producers and encouraging collaboration and innovation. Business: promoting business innovation, competitiveness, networking initiative, trainings and distribution. Audience: strengthening the accessibility and visibility of works for potential audiences, audience development initiatives, film festivals and VOD-platforms.

The Austrian Film Institute

The Austrian Film Institute (Österreichisches Filminstitut / ÖFI) is a legal entity under public law and the lead body for federal film funding for cinema productions at all stages, from development to production and distribution. It combines selective and automatic support systems with the primary focus on strengthening the Austrian film industry in general and especially the creative and artistic qualities of Austrian film to ensure its domestic and international success. Additionally the ÖFI also supports various measures to train and connect people from the industry.

WKO Film and Music Austria

Film and Music Austria (FAMA) is the trade association for the film and music sector in the Federal Economic Chamber. FAMA’s main activities are consulting and information services for its members, as well as interest representation on all issues affecting the sector: from skills and industry relations, to strengthening the film and music business ecosystems and improving public funding, and of course cultural, digital and enforcement policy on national and EU levels.
